Purcari Winery, the largest producer of premium wines in the Republic of Moldova, was also among the major winners of the international contest Decanter Asia Wine Awards 2018 held in Hong Kong from September 4th to September 7th, 2018.
Following the notable performance of past years, this time, Purcari Winery completes also its list with 13 medals and honorable mentions. In the wine category, the wines from the Collection 1827 have been awarded a silver medal, Merlot de Purcari and Rara Neagra de Purcari, and from the Limited Edition Collection, Vinohora Feteasca Neagra & Montepulciano. Bronze medals went to the wines Alb de Purcari (White) and Negru de Purcari (Black) of the Vintage Collection, and to the three sparkling wines, launched in 2017, Cuvée de Purcari Brut White, Cuvée de Purcari White Extra Brut and Cuvée de Purcari Brut Rosé. Pinot Noir de Purcari, Rosé de Purcari, Sauvignon Blanc de Purcari of Collection 1727, IceWine de Purcari, as well as Vinohora Feteasca Alba & Chardonnay took honorable mentions.
Around 3,000 wines from more than 37 countries participated this year at Decanter Asia Wine Awards, considered the world's most important wine competition. The jury of the competition was made up of 275 world-class experts and oenologists, including the Asian Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers.

In the years 2017 - 2018, Purcari wines took 23 medals and honorable mentions at Decanter Asia Wine Awards, while in 2018, until now, Purcari Winery received 41 medals at the world's most important wine competitions. Purcari is considered one of the most prized wineries in Central and Eastern Europe.
