A great success for Purcari Winery - Cuvée de Purcari Brut White entered the TOP 10 Best Sparkling Wines at Effervescents du Monde 2018, registering the most spectacular results for this edition. Thus, Purcari became the best medalist winery in Central and Eastern Europe.
The largest producer of premium wines in the Republic of Moldova, Purcari, was also this year among the major winners of the international contest Effervescents du Monde 2018, which took place in Dijon, France, from November 14th to November 16th, 2018.
Following the notable performance of past years, the Purcari Winery completes its list with 3 new medals. In the GOLD category, Cuvée de Purcari Brut White was honored, which also found itself in the TOP 10 best Sparkling Wines of the edition, as well as Cuvée de Purcari Brut Rosé, which doubles its success of the last year. The SILVER medal went to the new Sparkling Wine from 100% native grapes — Cuvée Feteasca Alba Brut.
More than 20 countries participated this year in the competition, more than 600 samples of sparkling wines have been presented, which have been assessed by more than 1,000 international experts. In all, only 33 sparkling wines from around the world have been gold medalists, among which two medals came to Purcari Sparkling Wines. In TOP 10 Best Sparkling Wines, the sparkling wines from France, Italy, Brazil, South Africa and Argentina have taken positions along with Purcari.
We note that at its last edition, Effervescents du Monde 2017, Cuvée de Purcari Brut Rosé took the GOLD medal and in 2018, Purcari Sparkling Wines won 30 medals at the world's most important competitions of sparkling wines, such as Mondial du Rosé, Concours Mondial du Bruxelles, Decanter Asia Wine Awards, Mundus Vini, etc.
Purcari Winery is considered one of the most prized wineries in Central and Eastern Europe.
